Eco Tours and National Parks
The world's largest per-capita area of land set aside for preservation may left be located right here, A national park system developed in 1992 set aside more than 325 square miles in 33 protected areas in this island group whose slogan is "Beautiful by Nature." Many of these parks are available for you to enjoy. On North Caicos, you can walk around the ruins of a plantation site at Flamingo Pond, or perhaps you'll explore the conch bar caves and nature trails on Middle Caicos.


Undersea Delights
Surrounded by miles of coral reef, the Turks & Caicos provide award winning snorkeling and diving opportunities. The pollution-free waters offer excellent visibility of up to 200 feet, so you can easily enjoy a rainbow of colors as you search for tropical fish, migrating humpback whales, manta rays, sea turtles and schools of wild dolphins. Water temperatures average 74 to 82 degrees (F) year round, so you'll always be comfortable!

May Feb to May: 40th Anniversary events of John Glenn and Scott Carpenter's splashdown on Grand Turk after first two orbits. Events include Space exhibition at the Turks & Caicos National Museum, lectures and special Space themed event.
May 23-25: Regatta on South Caicos, held on the weekend nearest the 24th of May. The oldest festival in the islands. One can see powerboat sailboat races.
May 27: National Hero's Day - Public Holiday
June June 1-4: Queen's Golden Jubilee is a Public Holiday. To commemorate the occasion, a number of regal events, parades, music concerts, shows and traditional cultural activities and displays will take place throughout the Turks & Caicos Islands.

July 28th, Thursday: Jeffrey Osborne, Gregory Isaacs and Local Artists. Featuring R&B and Soul Music. Concert being held at Turtle Cove Marina, Providenciales, Turks & Caicos at 8:30 PM
July 29th, Friday: Miss Turks & Caicos Pageant. Musical Artist: Stanley Roots. Featuring Annual Beauty Pageant & Music Concert. Held at Turtle Cove Marina, Providenciales, Turks & Caicos at 8:30 PM
July 30th, Saturday: Shaggy, Ashanti, Tabou Combo and Local Artists. Featuring Reggae and R&B Music Concert. Held at Turtle Cove Marina, Providenciales, Turks & Caicos at 8:30 PM
July 31st, Sunday: BeBe Winans, Candi Staton and Local Artists. Featuring: Gospel Music Concert. Held at Turtle Cove Marina, Providenciales, Turks & Caicos at 7:00 PM
Passengers will be provided with a voucher that they will exchange at the front desk upon arrival for their actual tickets. They may also exchange them at the venue on the day on the show, but it is recommended they pick them up at their hotel upon arrival. Transportation to and from the venue is not included in the price of the tickets.
August August 1: Emancipation Day - Public Holiday
1 - 4 August: Grand Turk Heineken Game Fishing Tournament on Grand Turk. Held in Grand Turk with beach parties on Governor's Beach, loads of prize categories and the excitement of the Calcutta event launches the festivities on Thursday evening August 1.
Mid-August: M.C. Expo on Middle Caicos. Held in August in the island of Middle Caicos. The visitor can watch the traditional sailboat races and join in the procession along the Crossing Place Trail.
August 31: Cactus Festival on Grand Turk
September Sept 23-29: Cultural Week
Sept 27: National Youth Day - Public Holiday
October Early October: Tourism Awareness week with first ever Eco Tourism Awards Ceremony. Sponsored by the Turks & Caicos Tourist Board is celebrated the 2nd week in October. The emphasis is educating the Public about Tourism. Highlights: The Annual Gospel Awards Concert, cultural evenings and other tourism-oriented activities including debates, art and essay competitions.
Oct 14: Columbus Day - Public Holiday
November Nov 23: Museum Day on Grand Turk. The Saturday closest to 23 November sees a celebration of the opening of the National Museum and includes choral singing, children's entertainment, local foods, live music and face painting.
December Dec 14: Christmas tree lighting ceremony on Grand Turk
Dec 18: The Anglican Church Bazaar on Grand Turk
Dec 25: Christmas Day - Public Holiday
Dec 26: Boxing Day Fair - Methodist Church on Grand Turk - Public Holiday
Dec 31: Old Year's Night Church Services. In the Islands it is a tradition that for everyone who can, to end the old and welcome the New Year in a church. (Maybe it is a myth that if the New Year finds you in church you will have a good year). Services are held at all churches throughout the Islands.
